Good colours

Today's good colours were the muted tones of autumn. Tinny grey sky, dark green leaves and the spots of colour from gumtrees in bloom. I love this time of year.

We stopped at the most excellent cafe for a couple of cappuccinos and some chit-chat. Chocolate croissants appeared, and disappeared almost as rapidly. The dog had his own special bowl of treats.

But what's this? Something in my pocket...

Could it be, a cafe-themed piece of my own design Spoonflower fabric, carefully tucked in a pocket for an on-location photo shoot?

Could be, could be....

GORGEOUS!! autumn ... wow. so weird to think like that ...

my baby-ist sister meg is in sydney right now - i miss her so much and can't wait to have her back on july 2nd, but she loves being "down under" and if it weren't for home-sickness (she has been gone since january 9th) i think she would stay there FOR-EV-ER.

looking forward to seeing the material materialize into an adorable project!

I love this time of year too - there is something about the muted light that intensifies the colours and textures...beautiful. And your fabric, that you sneakily snuck into the post on location while casually talking about croissants, is FABO! That's the best thing about drawing (apart from the feel of the pencil on the paper) is looking, observing, seeing the detail. Good on you.

Darn you Google Reader ... you didn't show me this post.

What a gorgeous print! I really love your pretty coffee pot and the beautiful colours you chose. Can't wait to see what you make.
